The Benefits of Compression Products for Recovery

You’ve probably heard doctors say that people who smoke and people with diabetes both heal more slowly when they get hurt. This is because both diabetes and nicotine constrict the blood vessels, and limited blood flow leads to slower healing.

Blood flow is just as essential for your body’s healing process after a workout. When you exercise a muscle, it creates micro-tears in the muscle that your body must heal.

By applying an even pressure throughout your leg, the compression garment evens out the pressure among your blood vessels and allows the blood to flow more efficiently.

This helps your body to bring all the healing nutrients it needs to build the muscle and get you back on your feet.

Minimize Muscle Vibration

When you work out, especially with a high-impact exercise like running or HIIT, each of those impacts causes a ripple of vibrations through your muscles. Those vibrations create minor injuries in your muscles, which can add to your recovery time.

Compression, however, will reduce those vibrations.  It’s the same reason that online retailers try to pack their products with space fillers: the less space an item (or muscle) has to move, the less it will vibrate, so the less damage it will sustain.
